IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Project Open Arms is a project of TRACTION, a small, trans-led nonprofit organization with one staff member. We do not provide cash grants or direct services. We provide referrals and connections, and try to help you find solutions for where and how to relocate.

Our staff and volunteers are not emergency responders, lawyers, social workers, licensed therapists, or medical providers. If you are in need of more immediate or intensive assistance, please contact a crisis resource such as the Trevor Project, the Trans Lifeline, 988 Suicide and Crisis Line, or find a LGBTQ+ inclusive resource near you through the InReach directory.

We strive to ensure the resources here we refer to are culturally competent, antiracist, and safe for trans+ people; however, referrals from Project Open Arms or TRACTION are not endorsements or guarantees. We are not responsible for the behavior of anyone outside of the TRACTION organization.

We understand the urgency of your situation, and we will respond as quickly and as best as we are able. Thank you for your trust and your patience.
